Fendi P Connects With Monsta Beatz for New ‘Monsta P’ Mixtape
Co-signed by his mentor Curren$y and praised for his easygoing flexes and laidback flows, Fendi P is a standout signee of Jet Life Recordings. Today, the New Orleans native teams up with renowned producer MonstaBeatz, known for iconic hits by Curren$y, Lil Wayne, Takeoff, and more, for Monsta P, his new album. Spanning 11 tracks, the project is a perfect marriage between rapper and producer, Fendi’s insistent, yet understated flows and blasé boasts floating above Monsta’s ear-teasing synths and gauzy atmospheres.
The new album is home to two recent singles: “Favors and Funerals,” filled with nonchalant flexes about Fendi’s high-flying lifestyle and “Cassette Deck 2,” the sumptuous sequel to a fan-favorite single from 2013. New highlights from the tape include “Monsta Money,” a haunting and effortlessly fly anthem with a helium soul sample and eerily pretty choirs, and “Monsta Blues,” which brings horns from Fendi’s hometown for a bit of off-kilter funk. Fendi shoulders the 11 track load without any features, commanding attention and delivering heat without ever raising his heart rate, crafting a listen equally suited for late night smoke seshes and windows-down drives down the freeway.
A prolific and respected emcee, Fendi P first signed to Jet Life nearly more than 10 years ago. He drew attention with his album Late Nights, Early Mornings, which featured guest spots from Curren$y, Lil Wayne, Project Pat, and more. In 2020, Fendi connected with Curren$y for Smokin’ Patnas, a collaborative full-length, and in 2022, he interrogated both sides of his personality with Corner Boy vs. Fendi. Fendi has kept busy over the past year, connecting with DJ.fresh for World’s Freshest P, an installment in Dj.fresh’s legendary The Tonite Show series, and teamed with fellow Jet Lifer Marco Denelle for the Duvaleans tape, released earlier in 2026.
With Monsta P out know, Fendi proves real ones in his city already know: that he is one of the flyest rappers in his region. Stay tuned for much more from Fendi P and Jet Life as the year dwindles down.
