EMMI IIDA Shares ‘Trinity’ Video
EMMI IIDA will be unveiling a stunning video to accompany her recent single, ‘Trinity’ released via her own label EFG Records Oy. EMMI IIDA is an internationally-recognised Finnish visual artist, holistic interior architect & musician who now seeks to translate her artistic prowess into her music. EMMI IIDA’s recently released string of singles have already gained support from notable tastemakers METAL Magazine, CLASH Magazine, NOCTIS Mag, Earmilk, BBC 6’s Craig Charles, RTÉ 2FM, as well as securing her an interview with MTV Finland.
Born in Hollola, Finland, EMMI IIDA began playing the piano at 5 years old. She spent her early years in a musical elementary school, singing in a choir and in an acapella band, performing her first solo in front of a crowd at 9. This early exposure to music had her singing in front of the TV and making her own songs constantly. In her search to continually create and express in unlimited forms, she founded her own company EFG Productions Oy, as well as EFG Records Oy, a record label focusing on drawing out holistic wellbeing with healing frequencies.
‘Trinity’ sees EMMI IIDA spicing up her sonic recipe, adding a flair of avant pop to her ethereal, ambient formula. Distorted synth arpeggios, pads, and effects are beautifully arranged to provide ample flavor and variety to enrich the extraterrestrial soundscape. Digging a little deeper, we discover that it’s a song with a journey, where the ending is one of empowerment and realization.
Shot in the dreamy desert-scapes of Joshua Tree in California, the music video features EMMI IIDA crash-landing into the desert from the vast blue skies, bedazzling and alien in a silver outfit and spacey visors. She wanders through the desert, glinting, and in a burst of light changes into an all-black, more ‘human’ outfit. She discovers a human (Jasper Sommer) and touches his forehead, and his eyes light up as his third eye opens. EMMI IIDA’s presence and performance are both ethereal and potent.
EMMI IIDA shared: “‘Trinity’’s music video is about an extraterrestrial landing on Earth against her own will, as she has been given a mission of waking people up, trusting their intuition, activating their own willpower, solar plexus chakra and opening their third eye. She’s wondering about the state of our Earth and horrified by how it currently is: how we’re fighting instead of finding our way to union, oneness. She’s hoping there’s still time left for us to make a change. Is there?”
