Eem Triplin Wants To Know “WHAT DA OPP SAID”

Jaded by the finer details of the rapid rise to stardom, Eem Triplin remains unfazed, knowing that if his opps are hating in the middle of the forest, there’ll be no one around to hear it. Shrugging off superficiality in style, Eem shares his new video for “WHAT DA OPP SAID,” a disenchanted soulful banger from his recent debut EP, STILL PRETTY, that finds the PA native taking inventory of his ever-changing relationships as his profile rises.

Closely following that theme, the “WHAT DA OPP SAID” video follows Eem as he navigates romance, friendships, and his relationship with himself through a series of nighttime events. Whether he finds himself in the close embrace of a love interest, surrounded by partygoers, or staring at his own reflection in the water, he rarely breaks eye contact with the camera, signifying that he’s as locked in as ever.

The video for “WHAT DA OPP SAID” arrives as Eem prepares to kick off his “STILL PRETTY Tour” later this fall. Commencing in Philadelphia on November 11th, the tour criss-crosses the continent for 21 dates, stopping in New York (Gramercy Theater), Atlanta (The Loft), and Los Angeles (Echoplex) before concluding in Tampa on December 20th. Featuring support from Wolfacejoeyy as well as fledgling rapper Launtrezze, the tour promises to feature fan-favorite tracks from across Eem’s catalogue, including buzzing bangers like “WALKED IN” and “TELL ME I’M RIGHT” from Eem’s EP, STILL PRETTY. “STILL PRETTY Tour” is Eem’s first headlining tour, following multiple standout performances at festivals like Rolling Loud Miami, plus overseas dates at Clout Festival and Splash! Festival, and stints opening for LUCKI on the “Flawless Like Me: The Made Martian Tour,” and his close friend and collaborator, $NOT on his “Get Busy Or Die Tour.”

In a short time, Eem has established himself as an outstanding live performer. Last Fall, he made his festival debut at Rolling Loud New York 2022, performing in front of a sparse crowd but making sure that the crowd would remember him forever. In early 2023, Eem signed on as direct support for LUCKI’s “Flawless Like Me: The Made Martian Tour,” and made a triumphant showing at Rolling Loud California in March, where he drew a much larger crowd than just months prior. Next, Eem hit the road with close friend and collaborator, $NOT, to provide support for his “Get Busy Or Die Tour” at the start of the summer, before making his way overseas for his first European festivals at Rolling Loud Portugal and Germany, plus Clout Festival and Splash! Festival.

After his performance at Rolling Loud Miami in late July, Eem returned to his hometown of Johnstown, PA, a small city east of Pittsburgh, to perform his first-ever headlining show in celebration of his debut EP, STILL PRETTY1,500 fans greeted him with an ecstatic reception–many fans lined up hours early to get a great spot, and others enthusiastically crowd-surfed as Eem did his thing on stage. The 22-year-old rapper invited local rappers from the Johnstown area to open for him, including TrueK814, Launtrezze, and DJ Femi.

With millions of streams on his catalog per week within a year’s time, the 22-year-old Eem Triplin has great potential & the is sky high.
