Dro Kenji Reveals Tracklist FOR ALBUM
Dro Kenji is a restless creative with an bottomless bag of full-bodied melodies. Today, the 20-year-old artist shares the tracklist for ANYWHERE BUT HERE, his next project. When presented with cinematic instrumentals from Internet Money producers like Census and his MiraTouch label head Nick Mira, Kenji rises to the occasion, spinning lovelorn relationship dramas and diabolical flexes through his full-bodied tenor. ANYWHERE BUT HERE pairs Kenji with some of the most exciting risers in rap, including Mike Dimes, Ka$hdami, and NoCap, as he welcomes them into his immersive sonic world. Featuring additional appearances from DC The Don and Midwxst, ANYWHERE BUT HERE arrives on August 26th via Internet Money Records/MiraTouch/10K Projects.
The upcoming project is home to recent singles like “THEY DON’T KNOW,” a tuneful project highlight released earlier this summer, and “SO WHAT,” a high-octane collab with DC The Don. The ever-busy emcee releases his new project in the wake of LOST IN HERE, an accomplished EP that provides the ideal transition to ANYWHERE BUT HERE from WITH OR WITHOUT YOU, Kenji’s first full-length of the year. Released in January, WITH OR WITHOUT YOU hosts buzzing tracks like “VANISH“ and “FINDERS KEEPERS” ft. Scorey.
Just 20-years-old, Dro Kenji has amassed a sizable discography. Determined to hustle his way to new heights, the young rapper is improving with every release. The South Carolina native is following up a breakout 2021, during which he released two albums and the hit single “KILL CUPID” ft. $NOT (20+ million Spotify streams). He was a standout performer at this year’s SXSW, performing at multiple showcases including Rolling Loud x RapTV‘s extravaganza at Stubb’s, and catching up with Variance Magazine. Recently, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed that Kenji’s takes up a sizable portion of his pre-game playlist.
