DNB Icon BCee Reveals Pop Tinged Single “Lies”
UK Drum & Bass icon BCee continues to build upon his remarkable career that spans 23+ years and over 100M streams. He recently announced his 8th studio album ‘These Are The Days’ (out October 11) along with the lead single “Gamble” that earned praise from the likes of Earmilk and Magnetic Mag for its “slick, high-energy” aura.
Today, BCee is thrilled to reveal the second single off the album titled “Lies”, featuring the alluring vocals of Lauren Archer.
“Lies” delves into deep, somewhat liquid Drum and Bass production as dreamy piano chords and swift percussion grooves accompany the heartfelt vocals of Lauren Archer. The song navigates the complexities of trust and betrayal, painting a vivid picture of heartache and disillusionment. Archer’s vocals bring a haunting, ethereal quality to the track, enhancing its emotional resonance around the themes of love and loss. The melancholic yet captivating melodies underscore the lyrical narrative, creating a stirring experience that lingers long after the song ends.
BCee recently wrapped up his North American tour, headlining dates in San Francisco, Phoenix, San Diego, along with a set at Infrasound Festival. He was also selected to perform a set for the esteemed Shogun Sessions, showcasing some of his favorite Jungle and Drum & Bass tunes as well as a few songs off the album. Watch it here.
In addition to his music endeavors, he’s teamed up with his wife, spearheading and fundraising for their non-profit Green & Glory Garden, which aims to transform a neglected piece of land in Norfolk into a glorious community garden. Green & Glory will become a place of peace for a wide range of people through Horticultural Therapy. This will include students with Special Educational Needs, individuals challenged by depression and anxiety, parents with postnatal depression, those recovering from physical injury, carers who need respite, refugees or asylum seekers, those who have been affected by homelessness and anyone who needs support to improve confidence and self-esteem.
