Cruel Summer Taylor Swift: Live From Tour
As Taylor Swift is ready to begin the second leg of her Eras Tour, the artist released a live version of her hit song, “Cruel Summer.”
Released on October 19th, a live version of Taylor Swift’s song “Cruel Summer” was let loose for the world to enjoy. And not only is it live, it’s live from her iconic Eras Tour concert performance.
Captioned on October 18th, Taylor Swift posted on Instagram, “What a truly mind blowing thing you’ve turned The Eras Tour Concert Film into. I’ve been watching videos of you guys in the theaters dancing and prancing and recreating choreography, creating inside jokes, casting spells, getting engaged, and just generally creating the exact type of joyful chaos we’re known for. One of my favorite things you’ve done was when you supported ‘Cruel Summer’ SO much, I ended up starting The Eras Tour show with it. For old time sake, I’m releasing the live audio from the tour so we can all shriek it in the comfort of our homes and cars PLUS a brand new remix by @lpgiobbi . Thank you, so much, forever, wow, just thank you!!!”
With the inspiration of the release stemming from The Eras Tour movie, we can potentially look forward to the artist releasing more live versions of her tour songs as time goes on.
With that in mind, the pop sensation’s movie raked in about $96 million opening weekend in the box office for the United States, and about $130 million globally. Making this film, one of the biggest successes for a live concert film.
