CRMBS & SCHEINY Remix Outkast “Sidechick”

Two burgeoning artists in the house music community, CRMBS and SCHEINY, are set to deliver a one-two punch with the release of not one but two electrifying tracks via DJ Susan’s esteemed underground imprint, Hood Politics. The first release, “The Way You Moov,” was released on December 6, followed closely by the second release, “Sidechick,” out today.

The Way You Moov” is a reimagining of Outkast’s timeless hit “The Way You Move.” CRMBS and SCHEINY masterfully transformed it into an infectious dance floor anthem, infusing it with a irresistible groove, foot shuffling bassline and a break beat elements which elevate the listening experience. The result is a melodic, vocal-driven masterpiece that pays homage to the original while delivering something completely unique and true to each of these artists’ creativity.

Sidechick,” is a bold reimagining of the Pointer Sisters’ classic “Betcha Got a Chick on the Side.” This percussion-forward bass house anthem features a relentless bassline, thumping beats, and vocals samples transformed and pitch shifted for the 21st century feel.

Spenser and I met in 2017 in the Bahamas while on “Holy Ship”. Since then, we’ve become the closest of friends, regularly sending music back and forth for input, inspiration, and just a “hey what do you think of this?” As DJ’s, we’ve both started focusing on music production over the past year or two, so the fit was natural for us to collaborate on some music together.

Our tastes both lean heavily towards driving club tracks, so when we sat down to make something together the first qualification was that the tracks were “club friendly”, and ready to do some damage on the dance floor. What we ended up with was not one but two tracks, both with their own sense of identity, but both ready to get some bodies moving.” – CRMBS

In addition to each of these releases, SCHEINY & CRMBS will deliver a thrilling b2b, offering direct support for tech house queen Wenzday at Sound Bar in Chicago on December 9th. Tickets are available here.
