Conway The Machine Releases Single “John Woo Flick”

Conway the Machine is back with a new single “John Woo Flick” featuring Westside Gunn and Benny the Butcher. The song is one of the lead singles for his upcoming album “God Don’t Make Mistakes”.

The song does not only mark the return of Conway, but also the return of the Griselda trio. The last time we heard all three of them on a track was this past September on “Hell on Earth Part 2” off Westside Gunn’s album “Hitler Wear Hermes 8: Side B”.

The track is produced by Daringer who is signed to Griselda Records. The filthy guitar riff and the silk drums make for a perfect beat for the trio to rip apart. One thing about Conway the Machine is that he is going to bring hard-hitting bars to any track he is on and “John Woo Flick” is no different. On the track, he sprinkles in a lot of basketball references to mesh with his gun wordplay. He raps, “My shooter comin’ off the bench like Kyle Korver, hide the body for a month and left a foul odor, I’m Kobe Bryant on my team, I’m the f—-n’ closer”.

This song builds on a never-ending run for Griselda Records. After curating great albums in 2021 like “Bo Jackson” by Boldy Jackson, “The Plugs I Met 2” by Benny the Butcher, and “La Maquina” by Conway the Machine; Griselda Records does not seem to be letting off the brakes in 2022 especially after Benny the Butcher recently collaborated with J.Cole on the Alchemist produced track “Johnny P’s Caddy”.

“God Don’t Make Mistakes” will be Conway the Machine’s Shady Records debut. This comes five years after he initially signed to Eminem’s label. The album comes out on February 22nd and is a must-listen for hardcore rap fans.
