The Sound of Cheyenne Giles

You can’t help but dance to the new Cheyenne Giles track. PARIS.’s smooth vocals provide the perfect build-up to a headbanging beat drop. NXSTY and Cheyenne Giles’s production blends the melodic vocals well with the techno hip-hop sound they’ve created in this remix. When asked what elements he looks for when planning out a remix, Giles said,

“For me, it’s all about finding that melody that just hits—the kind that sticks with you, whether it’s in the vocal or the instrumental. I’m not one for a spontaneous approach when it comes to remixing. By the time I’m in the DAW, the whole idea is already mapped out in my head, ready to be taken to that next level. This way, I can focus on building up every layer and detail exactly as I envisioned, giving the remix a real sense of direction and impact.”

“It’s about knowing when to experiment and evolve without losing the essence that makes it mine.”

Cheyenne Giles is always down to mix things up in his creations. Since exploding on the music scene in 2018, he has come a long way. Giles says specifically at the end of the pandemic is when the evolution of his sound ramped up.

“My sound has definitely been evolving, especially since the end of the pandemic. Music moves fast these days, and trends are constantly shifting, so it’s crucial to stay in the loop and know when it’s time to adapt. I think my sound’s been shaped by that awareness, gradually changing to keep up with what’s fresh while still keeping my unique edge. It’s about knowing when to experiment and evolve without losing the essence that makes it mine.”

The timing was right for the experimentation on this one. The Cheyenne Giles and NXSTY production incorporates different genres but still keeps it original and true to themselves.

“Bringing in different genres, like hip-hop, adds a vibe that keeps things fresh and unpredictable. Hip-hop, especially, brings that raw, rhythmic punch that makes a track hit harder. Mixing in reggae or other genres just layers up the sound, giving it depth and texture that listeners can feel. It’s all about creating something that hits home but still keeps you guessing—taking familiar sounds and flipping them into something that’s just a little unexpected. Keeps me inspired and keeps the crowd on their toes.”

But don’t worry. ‘Wildfire’ is not the only new track demonstrating Giles’s signature bouncy style. Nov. 1st Giles is dropping a revamp of his original Barcelona (feat. Cody Bolan) track with a Bass House VIP Remix. Cheyenne Giles is determined to end 2024 with a bang, or rather a bounce.
