Captain Highside Shares “TECHNICOLOR REWIND” Video
Captain Highside, the alter ego of Prashant Raghavendran, is an Atlanta-based emerging artist blending a rich tapestry of genres. Ever evolving as a human and artist, the Captain Highside project offers a creative respite to the day to day of being a pediatric hematologist.
In November, Captain Highside released SAGITTARIUS II, the first of two short LPs that he plans to share in only a few months. In just over a week, on January 16th, Raghavendran is set to release his follow up LP, SAGITTARIUS I. These works are a culmination of a prolific 15 months of work, in which he has been releasing tracks and short EPs almost on a monthly basis. Why release in this order? While SAGITTARIUS II thematically explored Captain Highside’s foray into modern genres and at times has a more experimental sound, SAGITTARIUS I is an homage to his early influences rooted in the classic music he was raised on. Releasing this album second is a way of centering, returning home after the journey of SAGITTARIUS II.
Alongside the release of SAGITTARIUS II, he highlighted the track “TECHNICOLOR REWIND,” a funky and soulful collaboration with Marley Angel. More recently, Raghavendran shared a music video to accompany the track.
Check out the video for “TECHNICOLOR REWIND” below and listen to SAGITTARIUS II now on all DSPs. Captain Highside’s newest LP, SAGITTARIUS I, is due for release January 16th.
