BETWEEN FRIENDS newest single “Bruise” is out now. The Los Angeles-based duo has over 600 million combined streams across platforms. “Bruise” is an addition to the number of seriously catchy and often emotive bedroom-pop songs they have out.

Combining their organic chemistry, eclectic musical tastes, and a knack for effortless storytelling BETWEEN FRIENDS has received nods from many publications. Some of these include Rolling Stone as well as The FADER and V Magazine. They have also had inclusions on Spotify’s “Essential Indie,” “Bedroom Pop,” and “Indie Pop” editorial playlists. Following their massively popular songs, “suburban wonderland” (28M streams), “iloveyou” (60M streams), and “affection” (400M streams) in 2017 and 2018, the duo went on to release 3 EPs. They released their first full-length project in 2021 titled, i like when you shine!.
Last year, they made their festival debut at Governors Ball and released their multimedia EP, CUTiE. “Bruise” relates to the sometimes complicated and painful realities of being in a “situationship” – the Gen Z popularized buzzword for flagrantly distant and non-comital relationships. “I’ve been runnin’ in circles, you’re bruising up my heart”, Savannah sings smoothly on the hook while the production slowly builds up to become a warm soundscape for them to share their feelings.
On the new track, they expand upon their narrative-driven approach to songwriting while simultaneously displaying a more mature and self-aware sound. Brandon and Savannah trade lines laced with longing as they express their desires for returned affection.
