The Model’s Resource, a new platform designed to unite professionals across the fashion industry, has officially launched, ushering in a new era of connectivity for models, photographers, hairstylists, makeup artists, and stylists.

The platform celebrated its debut on September 9 with a launch party just blocks away from Bryant Park—a location rich with fashion history, once home to New York Fashion Week. The choice of venue paid homage to that legacy, while also signaling a future-forward approach to collaboration within the industry.

A Platform Built on Community

Founded by tech industry veteran Nate Kaplan, The Model’s Resource seeks to reimagine how fashion talent connects. Unlike existing platforms that often feel transactional, Kaplan’s vision centers on accessibility, transparency, and inclusivity. By creating a community-driven hub, the platform aims to level the playing field for emerging creatives while empowering seasoned professionals.

The idea was born after Kaplan, while dating a model, realized how difficult it was to secure reputable work without an agent or trusted referrals. In response, he designed The Model’s Resource to provide a streamlined, trustworthy space for talent to connect directly. Within its first month, the platform attracted 1,300 active users, reflecting the industry’s appetite for such a tool.

“The fashion industry thrives on collaboration, but the tools for finding and building those connections have been fragmented,” Kaplan said. “The Model’s Resource is our answer to that. It’s about bringing everyone into one space and ensuring that community comes first.”

A Star-Studded Launch Event

To mark the occasion, the launch event featured a panel discussion with both rising and established figures in New York’s fashion scene. Panelists included an emerging designer

Braedy Luxenburg; Lolita Malone, who presented her runway show during Fashion Week; model Kristine Wang of Major Models; and celebrity stylist Mickey Boom, known for working with Muni Long, Natasha Bedingfield, and Ledisi.

The panel was moderated by journalist and beauty expert Kayla Greaves, setting the tone for a dynamic exchange of perspectives. Guests later mingled and networked over cocktails sponsored by J. Rieger & Co., embodying the platform’s mission to foster real connections.

“The launch event felt like a true manifestation of our mission,” Kaplan reflected. “Seeing designers, models, stylists, and photographers in one room, not just networking but genuinely sharing ideas, showed us that The Model’s Resource is already fulfilling its purpose.”

Building the Future of Fashion Connections

Now live at themodelsresource.com, the platform allows users to create accounts, collaborate, and book jobs directly, bypassing the limitations of traditional agencies or the noise of social media. With its clever slogan, “See you TMR”—a play on “See you tomorrow”—the company underscores its goal of keeping industry members consistently booked and connected.

By bridging gaps between models and glam teams, The Model’s Resource has positioned itself as more than a digital tool; it’s a cultural shift for an industry built on collaboration.
