Sean Jacobs Releases “Roots”

Sean Jacobs reintroduces himself today with the release of his new single “Roots,” a heartfelt anthem that blends raw vulnerability with the soaring, genre-defying sound he calls Cosmic Americana – a fusion of mountain folk and euphoric dance. The track was produced by John and Stephen Gomez, the versatile brothers behind The Summer Set and Twin XL, known for placements with Taco Bell, Fortnite, Netflix, and collaborations with artists including Jennifer Hudson and Skylar Grey. “Roots” was then mixed by 2x GRAMMY-nominated, multi-platinum engineer Joe Grasso (BTS, Diplo, Leon Bridges), underscoring the caliber of collaborators drawn to Jacobs’ vision.

“Roots is a promise to return to the heart, to find home within yourself, and reclaim the bonds of chosen family and soul ties. A reminder to be firstly and firmly rooted in yourself, in order to be a lean-on for others,” Jacobs shares.

The single also marks Jacobs’ first release under his new deal with IMPERIAL Music, signaling the beginning of a powerful new chapter.

With the signing, Jacobs enters a new era built on the momentum of a career that has already spanned viral hits, major collaborations, and global stages. He first broke through as CVBZ, collaborating with The Chainsmokers, Cheat Codes, and Fetty Wap, while racking up hundreds of millions of streams and Top 40 radio play. Most recently, he headlined Post Malone’s Travelin’ Tailgate shows on the Big Ass Stadium Tour and delivered a breakout performance at Electric Forest.

After a near-death experience, Jacobs emerged with a renewed perspective and a redefined sound. From a cabin high in the Santa Susana Mountains, he crafted Cosmic Americana – a style meant to bridge earth and sky.

With “Roots” as his first step under IMPERIAL Music, Jacobs enters a new era rooted in honesty, resilience, and a sound entirely his own.
