The Fearless Future of Inas X

The Fearless Future of Inas X

The music industry has never seen an artist quite like Inas X. With her intoxicating blend of R&B, pop, and Middle Eastern influences, she’s not just breaking boundaries—she’s rewriting the rules entirely. Her latest single, “Maniac,” is more than just a song; it’s a battle cry for anyone who’s ever been told they’re “too much”—too bold, too emotional, too alive.

From the streets of Brooklyn to the global stage, Inas X has carved out a space that is undeniably her own. Her music pulses with raw honesty, her lyrics cut deep, and her presence commands attention. Whether she’s delivering soul-baring ballads like “Lovergirl” or unleashing her fiery alter ego in “Maniac,” one thing is certain: Inas X refuses to be silenced.

In this exclusive interview, she opens up about the inspiration behind “Maniac,” the power of embracing every facet of her identity, and why she’s determined to leave her mark on music—and culture on her terms.

Zoey: “Maniac” is a powerful anthem about embracing every facet of womanhood. What inspired you to tap into that raw, wild energy for this song?

Inas X: I think, as women, we have so many sides. The raw, wild energy is one of them — it’s one of the energies that make up my DNA! I love rawness. I wrote this song at a time in my life when I was in a relationship and wanted to express the intense love and passion I felt. It was about me being honest and owning that side unapologetically, and it’s fun to do that.

Zoey: You mention this song being about owning your dark and divine feminine. What does that mean to you personally, and how has that shaped your music?

Inas X: The feminine energy is so limitless. There cannot be light without darkness and vice versa. I love my divine feminine side because she’s so mystical, magical, nurturing, and healing. I love my dark feminine because she is unapologetic, passionate, and isn’t afraid of anything. I’ve learned to love all these sides, as they make me who I am fully. Becoming more comfortable with myself has brought a specific kind of freeing energy that I love.

Zoey: The visuals for “Maniac” are stunning. What was the creative direction behind the video, and how did you want it to make your fans feel?

Inas X:  I wanted to capture the balance of being both submissive and dominant as a woman. It was empowering to embody both fully. I want my fans to feel powerful, unapologetic, and limitless with this song. It’s fun, it makes you move, dance, and, most importantly, feel yourself!

Zoey: You’ve explored vulnerability in past tracks like “Lovergirl”—how does “Maniac” expand or shift your narrative as an artist?

Inas X:  “Lovergirl” is a huge part of my identity. I am love, I am a lover, and of course, I am a girl. I made the song when I was in love, but since then, it has become an anthem about loving yourself, through it all. My latest single, “Maniac,” is my alter ego, which plays around with the dangerous and savage side of me. It’s a song about being carefree of judgments. With both songs, I want to show how women can be everything.

Zoey: As a Brooklyn native with Middle Eastern roots, how do your cultural influences come through in this record?

Inas X: I think either my New York or my Middle Eastern side comes through on every record somehow — whether with my cadence, beat choice, my accent popping through, or just the sounds I choose. Even when I try to stay away from those influences, the people I work with always keep me on track, so it stays consistent. It’s important to me to keep my ancestors’ roots alive.

As the final notes of “Maniac” fade out, one thing becomes undeniably clear: Inas X isn’t just creating music—she’s crafting a manifesto. With every lyric, every beat, and every unapologetic visual, she challenges the boxes society tries to place around women, artists, and especially women artists. Her refusal to dilute her vision, whether in sound or message, is what makes her not just a rising star but a necessary force in music today.

“Maniac” is more than a single; it’s a statement. And if this is just the beginning of Inas X’s journey, then the future of pop—raw, rebellious, and relentlessly real—is in thrillingly dangerous hands.

The maniacs, it seems, are running the show now. And we’re all better for it.
