Designer Victor De Souza unveiled his latest Spring/Summer 2025 “Down the Rabbit Hole” collection at the stunning Consulate General of Argentina on 56th Street in Manhattan, a fitting backdrop for a show that drew deeply from the evolving urban landscape. As New Yorkers navigate the return to office life, De Souza’s latest creations offer a whimsical, fantasy-laden response, blending lush fabrics like worsted wool, brocades, hand-painted silks, and punk-inspired accents into a sartorial wonderland.
De Souza explains, “As we all return to the workplace, this collection reflects the fantasy and whimsy of what the world can be. A wonderland of lush fabrics such as worsted wool, brocades, hand paintings, and silks adorned with edgy features that lean towards punk. This collection lends itself to the rabbit hole, the idea of being well-dressed in any capacity.” This season, De Souza masterfully marries stark structure with his signature hard edge, crafting garments that embody the classic New York ethos: “don’t mess with me” chic.
Adding to the collection’s allure were bags by Ksmith. studio, hairstyles by Aubrey Loots for Wella Professionals, and makeup by T. Cooper for Major Face using Glamazon Beauty. The production and styling were helmed by Dustin Lujan, with interns from Kent University playing key roles.
