VERDAVAINNE Opens NYFW with a Dazzling Spring 2026 Collection
New York Fashion Week began in dramatic style as VERDAVAINNE, the luxury womenswear label by designer Cyril Verdavainne, unveiled its Spring 2026 collection at Cipriani Wall Street. Staged inside the landmark’s private restaurant and framed by the sweeping granite columns of its balcony, the setting was as iconic as the collection itself.
A Garden in Bloom
The runway moved like a modern garden in full bloom. Verdavainne painted the collection with luminous ivories, airy periwinkles, lush florals, vivid neon hues, and shimmering metallics. Each look showcased meticulous handwork: brocades, lace, embroidery, and sequins that glittered under Cipriani’s lights. Shirt dresses, portrait gowns, trapeze cocktails, and sweeping capes carried both classic refinement and a spirit of daring modernity.
Verdavainne’s signature Trapunto belts and sashes sculpted silhouettes with dramatic precision, transforming fluid fabrics into artful shapes. Among the standout designs were a neon satin ottoman gown with bold Trapunto detail, a gilded “Temple” gown adorned with Swarovski crystal buttons, and a series of finale gowns shimmering with golden sequins, champagne “3D Leaf” motifs, and delicately embroidered tulle. Every print seen on the runway was an original artwork by Verdavainne, underscoring his reputation as a designer who blends artistry with couture craftsmanship.
