The Blue Jacket Fashion Show Celebrates 10 Years of Style With a Mission
The Blue Jacket Fashion Show marked a powerful milestone this season, celebrating its 10th anniversary with an evening where fashion, advocacy, and community impact took center stage. Founded by designer Fredrick Anderson, the annual event has become a defining moment on the fashion calendar—using menswear as a platform to raise awareness around prostate cancer while honoring survivors, advocates, and cultural figures.
Opening remarks were delivered by Anderson himself, setting the tone for a night rooted in purpose. This year’s presenting sponsor, Johnson& Johnson, underscored the event’s continued commitment to health equity and education, with Matt Bruce, Vice President of GU Sales and Marketing, representing the brand.
At the heart of the evening was the show’s long-standing charity partner, Zero Prostate Cancer, represented by Chief Mission Officer Brian Bragg. Additional support came from co-sponsor LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), led by President and CEO Michael Pugh, reinforcing the intersection of community investment and wellness advocacy. Health-focused partners Man Cave Health and Northwell Health further expanded the show’s mission by providing on-site PSA testing resources.
The runway itself was a celebration of individuality and influence, featuring an eclectic lineup of cultural icons, media personalities, and industry leaders. Among the notable appearances were television personality Carson Kressley in Brooks Brothers, fashion executive Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of fashion Designer of America , wearing Thom Browne, and model Alex Lundqvist in Stephen F. The show also highlighted personal stories of survivorship, including Bob Lane, a prostate cancer survivor, who walked the runway in Elie Balleh.
Additional participants included Mario Cantone, Allan Houston and his son Allan Houston III, Mike Woods, George Whipple, Ty-Ron Mayes, Carlos Greer, and Brian Bragg himself—each styled by designers who brought both craftsmanship and intention to the runway.
Beyond fashion, the evening reflected a broader cultural moment—one that champions visibility, proactive health conversations, and collective responsibility. With music by international DJ Bowie Jane and a carefully curated program of voices and brands aligned in purpose, the Blue Jacket Fashion Show once again proved that fashion can be both expressive and impactful.
A decade in, the message remains clear: style has power, and when paired with advocacy, it can help save lives.
