Willy Chavarria At The Met Gala 2025
For the esteemed first Monday in May that always marks the iconic Met Gala, Willy Chavarria showed up and showed out. Chavarria had multiple looks debut as he dressed stars like Maluma, Usher, Ms. Lauryn Hill and Jodie Turner-Smith. From the carpet to the Met Gala performances and afterparties, Chavarria’s designs and looks were incredible moments from the Met Gala 2025.
Working with Colombian singer Maluma, Willy Chavarria created custom suits that were an homage to the Pachuco style. These looks were a tribute to the Mexican and Latino Americans whose style and fashion sense worked as a form of resistance and protest against the American government and their acts toward the Black and Latino communities. Being most known for their connection to jazz, blues and swing culture, Pachucos were a symbol of using fashion to instill a sense of pride. Maluma’s look was a blue and green suit that perfectly emulated the incredible history of Latino resistance.
In looking at moments after the red carpet, one can see how both Usher and Ms. Lauryn Hill stunned in Willy Chavarria for a performance and afterparty. Also, Jodie Turner-Smith wore a look from the brand’s AW25 collection for an afterparty.

However, the festivities were far from over once the Met Gala celebration had ended. Partnering with Tequila Don Julio, Chavarria hosted an afterparty to toast the gala with styling team Wayman + Micah. The night was a fabulous celebration that featured signature Tequila Don Julio cocktails, beats by DJ Marco Neves and food by the iconic Haute Dog Cart. The event was truly star-studded as attendees included, Charli XCX, Taraji P. Henson, Shaboozey, Jeremy Allen White, Law Roach, Maluma, Willow Smith, Leon Bridges and so many more stars and supporters of the brand. Guests ate, drank and danced the night away as they celebrated another successful night celebrating art and fashion.
