Dutch producer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist ZEP has officially released his latest single, “DON’T BREAK,” out now via PULSE Records, alongside an accompanying music video
The new release marks the culture disruptor’s first of the year, arriving after a promising 2025 during which his previous single “NOBODY” amassed over 4.2M+ streams. The track followed a sold-out NYCrave and a live rendition of the high-energy self-acceptance anthem on 66GREENE. Earlier this month, ZEP was also featured in Apple’s Creator Studio global campaign.
“‘DON’T BREAK’ is about holding yourself together when everything feels loud, chaotic, and confrontational. It captures that mental state where pressure is coming from every direction, but you refuse to fold… you just keep moving!!,” says ZEP.
“DON’T BREAK” pushes ZEP’s rebellious hard-charging sound to new heights, driven by the track’s swift drum breaks and rapid bass ostinato that build towards a climactic peak. Releasing tension in the bridge, his distorted vocals cut through a whirling synth line and ethereal chord progression before additional percussion restores the song’s exhilarating pace. Directed by Joachim, the accompanying video mirrors the track’s cathartic intensity. Scenes of ZEP sewing together a Frankenstein-inspired mask in an abandoned warehouse alternate with footage of him showcasing his multi-instrumental skills — playing drums, bass, and moving through the space as he attempts to free himself from the pressure building in his mind.
Dutch multi-instrumentalist and producer ZEP is breaking rules, bending genres, and paving his own lane in modern music. The son of Bazz Barnasconi, frontman of Dutch alternative rock band Vankatoen, ZEP grew up surrounded by live music and developed an early passion for drums before studying at the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Rooted in the skate, fashion, hip-hop, and electronic communities, his work channels an authentic, boundary-pushing energy that thrives both in his recordings and immersive 360-audio live shows. Keeping the rebellious spirit of rock, hip-hop, and punk alive, ZEP continues to emerge as a true artist’s artist with a sound entirely his own.
