she’s green Are “Paper Thin” & Announce New EP
Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to announce a new EP, Swallowtail, arriving July 10, 2026, via Photo Finish Records. “paper thin” premieres today with an official music video, exploring the connection between love and lust over soaring reverberation. As the song unravels, fragile tension builds with gauzy guitars and Zofia Smith’s melancholy vocals. Every sound is on the verge of breaking apart, delicate but loaded with emotion, capturing the feeling of love slipping away.
“‘paper thin’ explores the power of lust in a dying relationship: how it can be confused for love when in reality, the relationship has already faded,” explains bandleader Zofia Smith.
In February, the band channeled the distress of a grim world into hope with thunderous riffs with “mettle.” The song unfolds over a hazy wash of reverb-soaked guitars, where shimmering, textured riffs are anchored by driving drums. The rhythm section locks into forward momentum, while Zofia Smith’s vocals float just above the mix, powerful with a soft edge.
Last year, the band unveiled Chrysalis. Their first project in over 2 years, the five songs perfectly capture their ethereal brand of dream pop, merging wistful vocals with fuzzed-out, harmonic guitars. The five-piece previewed the EP with songs like “Willow,” “Figurines,” and “Graze,” earning fans at The FADER, PAPER Magazine, Stereogum, and more.
To kick off the year, she’s green made their debut in China, embarking on an entirely sold-out headlining run in January. The premiere of their debut KEXP session followed, which saw the band previewing the upcoming EP in a performance that DJ Cheryl Waters called “Absolutely beautiful.” NME and Alternative Press have also recently declared the five-piece a ‘Band to Watch,’ with the latter remarking, “You can always tell when a band favor control over spectacle, and that’s the case for she’s green. With understated arrangements drawing from alternative, dream pop, and indie rock, their music sits in a sort of dichotomy — carving out a space that feels both fragile and self-assured.”
he’s green show no signs of slowing down. Earlier this year, the band announced they’d be supporting Chapterhouse on select dates of their first North American tour in 16 years. They’ll also support Bad Suns, with headline performances and appearances at Nothing’s Slide Away Festival sprinkled in between. This summer sees the group returning to the UK, with first-time appearances at Reading & Leeds.
