Sabrina Carpenter Releases Deluxe Version of Short n’ Sweet
As a Valentine’s Day Gift to her fans, Sabrina Carpenter released a deluxe version of her newest album.
Sabrina Carpenter took the world by storm last summer when she released her sixth studio album titled Short n’ Sweet. This album explored the variety that the pop singer was capable of and showed off her confident and playful spirit. Her lyrics are flirty, emotional, and even satirical at times.
Some of the most popular songs on the album include “Espresso,” “Please Please Please,” and “Taste,” which were all accompanied by iconic music videos.
Popular Tracks
“Espresso” was released first in April of 2024. This track quickly began trending on TikTok. With its catchy lyrics about being chased by a boy because she is so irresistible, paired with its contagious beat, the song was stuck in many people’s minds for weeks.
Released on June 6th, Carpenters song “Please Please Please” followed. The music video featured her actor boyfriend, Barry Keoghan, as her love interest. The song follows Carpenter begging him not to embarrass her or he will regret it. In the video she meets him in prison and shows up in style to bail him out each time he makes unfavorable decisions.
Another popular track, “Taste” was released with the rest of the album on August 23rd. “Taste” is a revenge song about an ex getting back together with a prior partner after being with her. Lyrics like, “I heard you’re back together and if that’s true. You’ll just have to taste me when he’s kissin’ you” show the bitterness Carpenter feels towards the other woman. The music video that followed this song featured Jenna Ortega, a popular actress known for her recent roles in the Netflix show Wednesday and Scream VI.
This album launched Carpenter into the spotlight and established her as one of America’s beloved pop stars. She went on tour for this album beginning the North American portion of the tour in September of last year, and is continuing with her European dates in March 2025. To further her success, the singer started 2025 with two Grammys, taking home the prize for Best Pop Solo Performance as well as Best Pop Vocal Album competing with other talented artists like Beyonce, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish.
New Tracks
As a gift to her fans following her Grammy win, the pop singer released five new songs. These songs include “15 Minutes,” “Please Please Please (Featuring Dolly Parton),” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.”
