The 2026 nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame have been announced and feature numerous icons from the realms of classic rock, metal, pop, R&B and more!

The hall released a list of 17 nominees on February 25 which included artists such as Phil Collins, Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, INXS, Iron Maiden, Luther Vandross, Shakira and many more, including some returning nominees such as Billy Idol and Joy Division/New Order.

Known for his iconic hits such as In The Air Tonight and Sussudio, Phil Collins has garnered eight Grammy awards (one being album of the year for his 1985 album No Jacket Required) throughout his solo career. Along with Collins, Lauryn Hill’s 1998 hit record The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill made history at the 41st Annual Grammy Awards after becoming the first hip-hop album to win album of the year.

This year’s inductees will be revealed in April along with inductees who are entering via three committee categories such as musical influence, musical excellence and the Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award.

In order for an artist to be nominated, they must have released their first commercial recording at least 25 years before they are eligible to be inducted and are voted on by more than 1,200 artists, historians and industry professionals.

Last year’s hall induction included artists such as Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden, and Chubby Checker
