Ricky Hil Wants To Know If “U Like Me Dead”
Ricky Hil bore his soul with his February album, 10,000 Grams, a full-length collaboration with Lex Luger that took Ricky’s dark-trap sound to a new level. Today, the alt rap pioneer brings one of the album’s highlights to life, sharing the video for “U LIKE ME DEAD.” The song combines Lex Luger’s orchestral hits and thudding percussion with chugging guitars that evoke the intensity of nu-metal, providing a canvas on which Ricky can paint his raw emotions. The artist unleashes bone-curdling screams as he ponders whether life is still worth living: “I′m never gonna learn my lesson,” he shouts. In the video, Ricky glitches in and out of reality, as he contemplates his mortality, intercut with clips of Ricky performing during his “KILLA SEASON TOUR” with SosMula.
Produced in full by Lex Luger, 10,000 Grams is a sequel to the producer/rapper duo’s first project together, released in 2011 en route to fan-favorite status. Like the first project, 10,000 Grams is hosted by the legendary Trap-A-Holics, whose drops add a hard edge to Lex Luger’s grandeur. The 13-track project is a hard-hitting hedonistic journey, following Ricky as he deals with the ramifications of his rockstar lifestyle. Ricky indulges in his base tendencies, and lives to face the consequences. The album is an ideal soundtrack to the hours between 2am and dusk, where the confident euphoria of a night’s partying transforms into something more sinister.
The album is home to singles like “HELL VALLEY,” the shimmering opening track, and the ferocious “SLUT,” and features multiple guest appearances from Ricky’s Limosa Nostra associate SosMula. Ricky and Sos ping-pong back and forth on the single “BLOW” with macabre flexes, flashing the innate chemistry of two kindred artistic spirits. Featuring additional appearances from Omertá, Niko G4, and Cl0wny, 10,000 Grams arrives via Ricky’s Limosa Nostra Records joint venture with Atlantic Music Group.
A natural-born trendsetter, Ricky Hil has been a fixture in the underground since emerging in the early 2010s. The artist’s dark and melodic sound, focusing inward on his personal issues and rockstar dreams, was a major influence on artists in the SoundCloud era, particularly GOTH BOY CLIQUE and their superstar, Lil Peep. In the ensuing years, Ricky has continued to innovate, eliminating the line between rap and alt-rock in his music.
Ricky is primed for a big year in 2026, highlighted by 10,000 Grams. Ricky Hil and SosMula recently finished the “KILLA SEASON TOUR,” featuring music from 10,000 Grams and SosMula’s 2025 project KAMP KRYSTL LAKE, which rampaged across the U.S. for 13 dates.
