PawPaw Rod Drops New Single “The Get Back”

Hypnotic rap artist PawPaw Rod is back with a new single, and if your in the mood to listen to some soulful sounds, then this track might just be for you.

The Hawaii-born, Oklahoma-raised artists released his newest song The Get Back on January 23 along with an accompanying music video. The song itself reconnects Rod to his roots and offers call outs to community and family that carried him throughout his career as well as reminding listeners that he is the same kid from the Eastside.

“‘The Get Back’ feels spiritual to me,” Rod stated in a press release. “It’s like my ancestors singing through the song, reminding me that I’m living a prayer someone had before me”.

This new single arrives during a transformative period for the artist. After the release of his 2024 EP Doobie Mouth (An EP From PawPaw Rod), the artist had just completed his first headlining tour as well as performing at popular music festivals such as Lollapalooza, Lightning in a Bottle, Austin City Limits and Coachella. Along with his touring success, Rod’s music has been featured in the Netflix hit series Outer Banks, Apple TV+’s Platonic, HBO’s Insecure & campaigns for Nike & Apple.
