Midnight Til Morning Release Debut EP ‘Afterglow’
Rising pop outfit Midnight Til Morning have just released their debut 7-track EP Afterglow alongside new single “Heart on Fire” and its official music video – landing just one day before the band kick off their first global tour across North America, Australia, and Europe (Dates Here). With sold-out shows already locked in for New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Paris, Amsterdam, Manchester, and Birmingham, the band’s momentum is undeniable.
At the core of Afterglow is a world-class roster of songwriting talent. The EP features contributions from some of the industry’s most in-demand writers: Amy Allen — widely regarded as the world’s hottest songwriter with credits for Harry Styles’ “Adore You” and Sabrina Carpenter’s “Please, Please, Please;” Adam Yaron, co-writer of Alex Warren’s current global hit “Ordinary;” pop superstar Benson Boone; and Feli Ferraro, who has penned tracks for BTS and Halsey. Midnight Til Morning themselves are also credited as songwriters throughout the EP — underscoring their creative vision and hands-on role in shaping their debut. Together, this line-up of hitmakers emphasizes Midnight Til Morning’s arrival as a group with both the talent and the network to thrive on a global stage.
A dynamic seven-song collection, Afterglow captures the full spectrum of Midnight Til Morning’s sound. It brings together standout singles “Bye” and “Navy Eyes,” which introduced the band to a global audience, alongside fan-favorites “Ghost of Us” and “Welcome to LA.” The focus track, “Heart on Fire,” sits at the centre as an up-tempo, stage-built anthem, with the track-list rounded out by two brand-new cuts, “17” and “Edge of Amazing.”
“Heart on Fire” was written by Yaron, Ferraro, Joshua Murty (Niko Moon) and Castle (Anne-Marie), and produced by Murty, whose polished yet emotional touch underscores the track’s anthemic punch. The accompanying video here, directed by Josh Harris with the acclaimed team at Recliner, pays homage to the iconic 90s and 00s campaigns from Gap and Calvin Klein — elevated, stylish, and bursting with energy to mirror the pure adrenaline of an MTM live show.
“‘Heart on Fire’ feels like the perfect song to lead into Afterglow because it captures the energy we want to bring to our shows and to this whole era,” says Mason Watts. “This EP is really the beginning of our story – we’ve poured every part of ourselves into these seven songs, and we can’t wait for people to connect with them the same way we do.”
Extending the story, “17” delivers a nostalgic, coming-of-age anthem that captures the wide-eyed rush of first love and youthful ambition. With soaring melodies and heartfelt lyrics, it showcases the band’s gift for weaving intimacy into widescreen pop. Meanwhile, stunning new ballad, “Edge of Amazing” channels Midnight Til Morning’s euphoric side, a track built for those live moments on tour where fans can lose themselves in the music together. These new songs solidify the EP as a complete body of work – a true statement of intent.
