Loe Shimmy Heats Up the Cold Weather With “Where You Wanna Go” Video

Wielding his unique sense of melody and woozy vibes, Loe Shimmy looks to build on a breakout year in 2026. To start it off right, the Florida native heads north for the winter in “Where U Wanna Go,” his new music video. Produced by Zay Cartier, “Where U Wanna Go” is a laid-back late night anthem, populated by sumptuous keys and snaking guitar lines to undergird Shimmy’s seductive melodies: “I got a pilot, mami, tell me where you wanna go/I’m off these Roxies, baby, let me nail it to the floor,” he sings. In the video, Loe Shimmy takes his fleet of luxury SUVs to the snowy north, where he feels equally as home as his sunny home state.

“Where U Wanna Go” is a highlight from Rockstar Junkie: after the party, the expanded version of his acclaimed 2025 album, released over the holidays. The deluxe version adds 11 new songs, including recent singles  “Jet 2 Holiday,” “Baby Z,” “Crank Up Da Jet,” and “Lost & Found.” The tape also brings new highlights, including “Hills Have Eyes,” a gorgeous trap ballad with a dynamic bassline, perfect for a winding drive through the Hollywood Hills, “Purple Magic,” a hazy anthem for romantic smoke sessions, private jet-set ballad “Floatin,” and the guitar-drenched seduction “Where U Wanna Go?” after the party keeps the vibe going from Rockstar Junkie, providing a smooth soundtrack to the debaucherous backstage moments that make the grind worth it. Rockstar Junkie: after the party is available on all platforms via Rebel/gamma.

Originally released in July 2025, Rockstar Junkie spans an epic 26 tracks without flagging in energy or quality. The album immerses listeners in Shimmy’s world, with see-sawing beats, from Florida sound architects like DxnteMadeIt and others, their instrumentals swirling around Shimmy’s croaking melodies in hypnotic fashion. Rockstar Junkie highlight “3am” ft. Don Toliver is having a major moment, currently charting at #67 on YouTube’s music video chart (with over 11 million YouTube views since September) and more than 40 million Spotify streams to date. In November, “3am” reached #100 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking the rising artist’s second appearance on the chart in two years.

Since emerging in Broward County earlier in the 2020s, Loe Shimmy has developed a reputation for being one of the most consistent and prolific rappers of his generation. The 26-year-old artist releases multiple projects per year, never running out of entrancing melodies or relatable lyrics. Fans revere Shimmy for his ability to channel his pain into compelling drama, delivering his stories in bite-sized anthems that equally befit late-night smoke sessions and top-down coastal drives. In 2024, Shimmy released three projects, ZombielandZombieland 2.0, his first album to chart on the Billboard 200, and Nardy World, the latter featuring “For Me” (Remix) ft. Brent Faiyaz, which has over 68 million Spotify streams and a GOLD certification from the RIAA. Recognized for his success and even greater potential, Loe Shimmy earned a spot on XXL’s 2025 Freshman List.
