Kaash Paige Releases Soul-Baring Album ‘2 Late To Be Toxic’

Kaash Paige has released her most vulnerable and soul-baring project to date: 2 Late To Be Toxic, today, October 10 via Rostrum Records. The album marks a powerful return to the moody, melodic R&B that first put her on the map, following the genre-bending energy of her recent hip-hop-infused EP, KAASHMYCHECKS, released in August.

On 2 Late To Be ToxicKaash Paige trades bravado for brutal honesty, presenting a raw, diary-like exploration of heartbreak, temptation, growth, and everything that exists in between. Each track plays like a blurred snapshot of love at its most intoxicating, diving headfirst into the thrill of feeling too much.

The album opens with “GOD SAVE ME”, setting the emotional tone as Kaash confronts the volatility of heartbreak in its purest form. From there, the narrative spirals: “What Happened 2 Us” wrestles with the highs and lows of a fractured relationship, while “Sexy Freestyle” leans into desire unchecked by logic. “High” featuring DeJ Loaf offers a brief, dreamy reprieve – a moment of false healing masked as infatuation-before “Make Luv” romanticizes escapism through fantasy and altered states.

Midway through, “Never Getting Back Together” offers a downtempo, introspective reflection on the quiet finality of a relationship’s end while “Kaash’s Thoughts” delivers an unfiltered emotional purge. Tracks like “Stuck on Stupid” explore insecurity and abandonment, while the album’s final act plunges into a darker, more detached headspace. “F.U.” becomes a line in the sand – emotional numbness as self-defense – followed by “Cheaters Anthem”, where temptation and chaos knock louder than regret. By the time we reach “305,” the journey feels complete – in line with the brutally reflective tone of “2 Late To Be Toxic”, the track serves as a final glance at the chaos left behind, with Kaash now rooted in clarity and healing, no longer chasing what once was.

“This isn’t just an album about healing,” Kaash explains. “It’s about surviving the in-between-the part where you’re spiraling, chasing thrills, and haunted by the ‘what if.’ There’s no resolution. It’s just real.”

Kaash initially broke out in 2019 with her viral hit record “Love Songs” and debut EP Parked Car Convos. This momentum catapulted her into the spotlight, leading to collaborations with global heavyweights like Don Toliver and Travis Scott on “Euphoria,” and a standout feature on Alicia Keys’ “Wasted Energy”. Along the way, she earned praise from Kylie Jenner and 6lack and was featured in notable fashion campaigns with Ivy ParkMoose Knuckles, and Guess. In the midst of all that, Kaash went on to release two additional critically acclaimed projects, Teenage Fever (2020) and S2ML (2022). Next came Kaash’s bold new independent chapter. She released Catch Me While I Care, an EDM-driven project that showcased her instinct for R&B/electro fusion and marked her first release outside the major label system.

With 2 Late To Be Toxic, Kaash Paige reclaims the narrative of the “toxic love story,” delivering a soundtrack for anyone caught in the emotional gray areas of heartbreak, longing, and self-discovery. Vulnerable yet unapologetic, it’s her most emotionally rich and sonically cohesive work to date.
