JNR Choi Needs A “Pick Up” With Remix

JNR CHOI returns with an Afro House remix of “Pick Up,” reworking the track into a club-ready record shaped by rhythm, movement, and global dance culture. Produced by PWRZ, the remix reimagines the original through a more expansive, late-night lens – built for DJ sets and dance floors from Miami to Ibiza.

The release signals a clear evolution in JNR’s sound. Around the time of his breakout hit “To The Moon,” JNR was heavily rooted in drill. After stepping away to reset creatively, he spent time between the U.S., Bali, and across Europe, where he became immersed in house and Afro House scenes. Inspired by the sounds he encountered overseas—and the universal connection to dance music—his sonic direction naturally began to shift.

While abroad, he also began DJing, developing a stronger instinct for reading the room and responding to crowd energy in real time. That experience reshaped his approach in the studio, with a deeper focus on movement, pacing, and atmosphere. The Afro House remix of “Pick Up” reflects that evolution, bridging his melodic foundation with a sound intentionally built for the club.

The release also marks a milestone as he partners with Fusion 305 to launch Fusion 305 Music, stepping into a new role as Creative Director and the label’s first signed artist.
