Hope In The Hills: Healing Appalachia Music Festival

Hope In The Hills: Healing Appalachia Music Festival

The Healing Appalachia Music Festival is an annual event, held this year in Ashland, Kentucky at the Boyd County Fairgrounds. The headliners, Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton will take the stage on September 19-20 to help raise funds for the Hope in the Hills organization.
Hope in the Hills was created on August 15, 2016. On this day the small city of Huntington, West Virginia experienced the loss of 26 people to drug overdoses. After making international headlines members of this community knew that something needed to be done to address this epidemic.
The mission of Hope in the Hills is to raise awareness and provide resources for those affected by the opioid crisis in the Appalachian region. Using the money they raise each year, they provide safe treatment centers for those in active addiction and services that cover their entire journey from beginning to end, such as training to return to work after recovery.
This festival is more than an event, it is a place where music brings the community together to share stories and inspire hope for a better tomorrow. This festival gives people a chance to hear renowned artists like Tyler Childers, who performs every year, as well as up-and-coming artists who want to showcase their amazing talents to the world.
