Hanumankind Releases ‘Monsoon Season’
Kerala-born, Houston-raised rapper Hanumankind has released his long-awaited mixtape, Monsoon Season. Following an impressive run of explosive singles, internet-breaking music videos, and high-profile live performances—including a debut Coachella appearance and sold-out UK and European shows—this project marks a significant milestone in the rapper’s rising career.
The twelve-track mixtape features previously released singles “Run It Up,” “Holiday,” “Villanous,” and breakout track “Big Dawgs,” along with its remix featuring rap luminary A$AP Rocky. Hanumankind also secured collaborations with Denzel Curry on focus track “Reckless” and Maxo Kream on the sinister, haunting “Goons.” The mixtape also showcases Hanumankind’s versatility, revealing a more emotive and lyrical side on tracks like “Someone Told Me” and “Cause,” which explore his motivations and relationship struggles with raw authenticity.
Executive produced by Kalmi, a longtime collaborator, Monsoon Season features production exclusively from long-term collaborators including producer Parimal and engineer Akash Shravan, emphasizing brotherhood and creative synergy. Artistic director Bijoy was instrumental in developing the visual narrative, shaping the aesthetic direction for Monsoon Season. He rounds out the crew that makes up the Hanumankind world building and showcases the artistic growth and the strength of relationships forged through years of collaboration.
Speaking on the project, Hanumankind’s camp shares Monsoon Season is a compilation of songs gathered over the years before the spotlight and the noise. The tracks come from a time of obscurity, shaped in the quiet, a persistent grind, long before recognition came knocking. A multitude of sounds and emotions because change has been the only constant throughout.
Hanumankind also announced his debut headlining North American dates earlier this month which will see the “Big Dawgs” rapper tour across major cities kicking off in Atlanta, GA and include stops in Washington, DC, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles as well as hometown Houston, TX. “OTW TOUR — NORTH AMERICA” builds upon the momentum of his triumphant U.K and European run, which featured sold-out performances in Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, and London.
