Eem Triplin Makes Home Movies in “MISS ME?” Video
Keeping ten toes down even as his star continues to rise, Eem Triplin built a devoted fanbase by being his authentic self. Opening up about his relationships as he embraces all-American iconography, the 23-year-old rapper shares the new video for “MISS ME?” Released earlier this month, the bouncy and tuneful “MISS ME?” is the latest single from MELODY OF A MEMORY, Eem’s forthcoming debut album. Directed by NOTACHANCE, the video is a perfect fit for the spritely new single, as Eem romances models, rides horses, makes home movies with an old-school camcorder, and posts up in an industrial neighborhood.
Home to recent singles like “FIJI” ft. Cruza (which earned the cover of New Music Dailyon Apple Music, and an interview with Zane Lowe upon release in Fall 2024) and “CRAZY H*ES,” the upcoming MELODY OF A MEMORY deepens Eem’s sonic world, expanding upon his ear-teasing melodies and tales of easygoing romance. The album was shaped by a GRAMMY-winning Dahi (formerly DJ Dahi), who serves as the album’s executive producer, Matthew Castellanos, Charlie Myles, and Eem Triplin himself. His official debut full-length after a long string of viral hits, Eem Triplin’s MELODY OF A MEMORY arrives on February 17th via RCA Records.
“It’s been a long time coming, but I hope fans know that I’ve been putting a lot of hard work into this album,” said Eem. “I’m excited for the people to finally hear what we’ve been cooking up over the past year or so while I’ve been in the studio with the homies Dahi, Matt, Charlie, and more. This project reveals parts of me that I haven’t shared before, and also shows a side of my sound that I haven’t shown folks yet. I think it shows my evolution as an artist, and I hope people hear that when they tune in.”
MELODY OF A MEMORY is Eem Triplin’s first project since his 2023 debut EP, STILL PRETTY. Eem spent the intervening 18 months building a loyal fanbase, performing live as an opener for artists like LUCKI and his good friend $NOT, showing out at festivals like Rolling Loud, and European fests like Clout Festival and Splash! Festival, and performing his first-ever headlining show in his small hometown of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. In 2024, Eem performed his first headlining tour, the “STILL PRETTY North American Tour,” selling 11,000 tickets across 21 shows (90% sell out), released fan-favorite singles like “stephanie,” and collaborated with Camila Cabello on her song “baby pink.”
With hundreds of millions of streams in the bank and much further to rise, Eem Triplin is on a superstar trajectory. Stay tuned for more announcements about MELODY OF A MEMORY. Check our our previous coverages here.
