Dillon Francis Unveils New Single “What It Feels Like”
Superstar producer, songwriter and DJ Dillon Francis and Grammy-winning pop icon Daya team up for the new single “What It Feels Like,” via Monstercat and broke Records.
“I’m so excited for ‘What it Feels Like’ to be out,” says Daya. “I’ve admired Dillon’s artistry for a while, and getting to work together on this track has been a dream. I can’t wait for people to finally hear it and hopefully feel what we felt making it.”
“It’s strange that I’m expected to summarize a song in a quote so you’ll listen to it, when listening to it would solve that problem,” adds Dillon. “The song is ‘What It Feels Like’ with Daya. You can stop reading now.”
Earlier this month, Dillon shared a taste of the song, teasing a snippet of Daya’s vocals on Instagram. Fans have been eagerly awaiting the full single ever since.
The song also marks a first-of-its-kind partnership between independent label innovators Monstercat and broke Records.
The new music kicks off a massive year for Dillon, who recently announced a highly anticipated Dillstradamus co-headline tour with trap pioneer Flosstradamus starting this April. Following explosive festival and headline sets across the globe in 2025, the tour will see stops at New York’s Terminal 5, Chicago’s Radius, Los Angeles’ Hollywood Palladium, San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and more.
“What It Feels Like” follows Daya’s Til Every Petal Drops, her first full-length project after a near decade long hiatus. Earlier in 2025, her collaboration with Dom Dolla on “Dreamin” reached #1 on the U.S. Dance Radio charts. Additionally, her massive track “Don’t Let Me Down” with The Chainsmokers recently earned a RIAA Diamond certification.
Dillon has spent the past year sharing a string of collaborative singles with artists including Grammy-winning producer Albert Hype, house music icon Marten Hørger, rap superstar iann dior and more. Additionally, he put out a remix album of his historic major label debut, Money Sucks, Friends Rule, which landed on Rolling Stone’s Top Electronic Albums upon release in 2014. Known for spanning genres, Dillon has worked with some of the industry’s biggest names, including Major Lazer, T-Pain, Calvin Harris, Skrillex and more.
Dillon Francis has been making waves in dance music and beyond for more than a decade, bursting on to the scene in the early 2010s with a series of underground hits. He’s released a number of widely acclaimed full-length projects, including Money Sucks, Friends Rule in 2014, 2015’s This Mixtape Is Fire, 2018’s WUT WUT—a Spanish-language LP featuring some of the biggest names in Latin music, the 2019 mixtape Magic Is Real, 2021’s Happy Machine and This Mixtape is Fire TOO in 2023. Dillon continues to tour the world over and, beyond music, has starred in the Funny Or Die series “Like and Subscribe” and Viceland’s “What Would Diplo Do?” with additional projects in development.
