Corbyn Besson Releases Debut Solo EP Head First
Today, pop heartthrob Corbyn Besson, best known as one-fifth of the multi-billion streaming and arena headlining boy band Why Don’t We, releases his debut solo EP, Head First, via BMG. In celebration of the EP, on Tuesday, January 20th, Besson is set to make his solo TV performance debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Blending his sublimely smooth vocals with a feel-good form of R&B-pop, Head First is both warmly nostalgic and irresistibly forward-thinking. With a bold new sound, high-profile collaborators, and an authentic creative voice, Besson’s eagerly awaited solo chapter is underway. Head First came to life with an A-list lineup of producers, including Hit-Boy (the multi-GRAMMY winner behind iconic hits like Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle”), two-time GRAMMY nominee Tenroc (Jon Batiste, The Kid LAROI), and Latin GRAMMY winner Trevor Muzzy (Jennifer Lopez, Nicki Minaj), as well as top-tier co-writers like Dougie F (Drake, Future), Feli Ferraro (Teddy Swims, Jessie Murph), and James Essien (LISA, James Blunt).
“This EP was born when I decided to quit guessing what sound the world wanted or expected from me, and started making music that felt truly authentic to who I am. I’ve never been more connected to my music – it’s scary, exciting, and so much fun,” Besson shares. “Head First is me fully diving into my solo career without holding back. Throughout the process, I discovered a part of myself I didn’t even know existed, and now I want to use that to bring a little light into people’s lives.”
The EP includes Besson’s sleek and flirtatious smash single, “BLINK,” featuring TZUYU from the global K-pop phenomenon TWICE, which was nominated for a 2026 iHeartRadio Music Award for ‘Favorite K-pop Collab.’ The collaboration, which has amassed over 17M streams on Spotify and over 13M views on YouTube, is a landmark moment for both artists, who first rose to international fame as members of world-renowned groups and are now stepping into their solo eras. In addition to Besson’s other previously released singles, including the infectious “Tied Up,” and the sunsoaked, addictive anthem “Summer” featuring R&B icon Jeremih, the EP also features the slow-burning but hard-hitting “Ruin Me,” which centers on an impassioned vocal performance from Besson, the moody but euphoric “Kiss,” which was arranged with an eye toward his dance-heavy live show, and “Hypnotized,” a dreamlike expression of absolute infatuation, exquisitely elevated by Besson’s artful vocal production.
This past summer, Besson collaborated with acclaimed electronic dance-pop duo, Two Friends, on “No One Else,” which they performed together at Lollapalooza and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The track blends euphoric production with heartfelt vocals, delivering a soaring, feel-good anthem that hits both the heart and the dance floor.
