Buddah Bless Drops Debut Project
For over 15 years, Buddah Bless has been one of the Southern rap scene’s top sound architects, providing hits for everyone from Megan Thee Stallion to Migos to Travis Scott. Today, the 14x Platinum producer achieves a new milestone in his storied career, coming through with Buddah Bless The Streets, his first-ever project as lead artist. The new tape brings together talent from all over the rap spectrum.
Buddah welcomes superstars like Kodak Black, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, BossMan Dlow, and Lil Yachty, crafting songs that shine a light on their rare talents. The New York-born, Atlanta-raised beatsmith paves the way for the next generation, collaborating with rising stars like ATL’s Hunxho and NY trio 41, and shining a spotlight on new luminaries like Tre Loaded and UFO Toon. Buddah also recruits veterans of the ATL scene, like Trinidad James and Skooly, to make some of their best songs in years.
Buddah Bless The Streets is home to recent singles like “Owe Me” ft. Kodak Black (2.2 million YouTube views) and the luxurious posse cut “See The World,” featuring standout verses from BossMan Dlow, Big Sean, and 2 Chainz. New highlights include “I Feel Good,” delivering the NYC trio of Kyle Richh, Jenn Carter, and TaTa, aka 41, a beat that sits between their usual NY drill and Buddah’s stately, keyboard-driven trap. “Same Soulja” is a cross-generational collab between Atlantans, as Hunxho and Skooly alternate melodic stylings over Buddah’s dramatic piano chords. Kodak Black returns for a second song on the album, teaming with young rapper Big Fredo for “Toxic.” Featuring an additional guest appearance from Smokepurpp, Buddah Bless The Streets arrives on February 13 via B.U. Ent. / Human Re:Sources.
Born in the New York City area but raised in Atlanta, Buddah Bless strives to merge the sensibility of his two home hip-hop regions through his music. He began his musical career in church, playing piano and organ, and learned how to make beats from his uncle during one fateful Thanksgiving. As a young man, breaking into the industry at 18-years-old, Buddah emerged into the flourishing Atlanta scene as one of its most in-demand beatmakers, his songs recognizable by his famous producer tag: “Buddah Bless this beat.” The producer collaborated with the likes of Migos, 2 Chainz, and Young Thug on their early hits, and later produced ATL classics like Migos’ “Call Casting” and 2 Chainz’s “Big Amount” ft. Drake. In recent years, Buddah produced hits like Jackboys’ “OUT WEST” ft. Young Thug (over 1 billion worldwide streams), and has developed a productive artistic relationship with Megan Thee Stallion on songs like “Don’t Stop,” “Miami Blue,” and “Shots Fired.” The 33-year-old producer has earned 14 Platinum certifications and 3 Gold certifications from the RIAA, and has also collaborated with the likes of Gunna, Chris Brown, Summer Walker, Key Glock, and dozens of other rap and R&B superstars.
With his upcoming de but mixtape, Buddah Bless plans to show the world what elite artists already know: that he has the sauce to turn any beat into a world-conquering hit.
Stay tuned for much more from Buddah Bless in the near future.
