Amirah Returns With Acoustic Version Of Debut EP

Following the release of her debut EP, Wish It Wasn’t You, emerging 18-year-old singer/songwriter Amirah returns with the project’s acoustic version. Titled Wish It Wasn’t You (Acoustic) EP, Amirah dazzles with her glittering vocals backed behind the guitar composition of GRAMMY Award-winning musician Justus West. The six-track EP will allow fans to reimagine their favorite songs, including standout “Tokio” with brand new vocal arrangements by Amirah. The brilliant six-song project, executive produced by Mustard, is filled with lush chords and enticing melodies destined to resonate with listeners of all ages.

Last week, Amirah surprised her classmates when she performed for them for the first time during “Senior Day.” Introduced by Mustard, Amirah delivered an unforgettable performance ahead of her prom, mesmerizing her peers and teachers. Amirah wasn’t done with the surprises, as she later revealed the acoustic version of Wish It Wasn’t You the following week during her graduation day. Through a compelling compilation video, She announced the project’s upcoming release.

Amirah’s musical journey is a testament to her resilience and determination. She started playing the piano at the tender age of 3 and had her first solo performance with the church choir at 7. The pandemic, which led to the world shutting down, didn’t deter her. Instead, it allowed her to showcase her talent on TikTok. Her first video, published in March 2021, went viral three months later, amassing over 11 million views. The video’s success led to her signing with Mustard’s Grammy Award-winning label, 10 Summers/Interscope Records, just six months later.
