Above & Beyond and Malou release complete ‘Letting Go’
After becoming a standout moment on their “Bigger Than All Of Us” album and a fan-favorite across their North American tour, Above & Beyond collaboration with rising star Malou – ‘Letting Go’ – receives an expansive remix package this week on Anjunabeats.
The December 11 release sees the beloved track reimagined for dancefloors and deeper listening alike, with brand-new remixes from Rinzen and Drove, alongside the previously released Above & Beyond Club Mix and extended versions of each cut.
Originally released in July, ‘Letting Go’ was the first collaboration between Above & Beyond and German-Hawaiian singer-songwriter Malou, whose introspective, soulful vocals have helped define a new generation of emotive electronic music. Her credits include the breakout hit ‘Breathing’ with Ben Böhmer and Nils Hoffmann (Anjunadeep, 2019), and here, she brings vulnerability and clarity to one of the most emotionally resonant moments on A&B’s ‘Bigger Than All Of Us.”
As the group’s North American amphitheater tour got underway in summer 2025, ‘Letting Go’ took on a second life. Above & Beyond debuted a powerful new Club Mix – darkening the synth palette, upping the tempo, and transforming the track into a euphoric peak-time anthem. Played across sold-out venues including Forest Hills Stadium and Shoreline Amphitheater, it quickly became a live favorite and was officially released on November 27.
This week’s release also introduces fresh interpretations from two of the most exciting names in modern dance music:
Rinzen, the cinematic techno innovator from Los Angeles and This Never Happened recording artist, offers a moody, spacious remix that builds a slow-burning energy while preserving the track’s emotional core.
“It’s honestly a surreal feeling to remix Above & Beyond,” says Rinzen. “I’ve been listening to their music for 15 years. I absolutely love everything Malou does as well, so it’s a big honor to put my spin on ‘Letting Go.’
Drove, the forward-thinking Dutch duo known for their melodic, future-leaning productions, bring a crisp, rhythmic take that blends vocal intimacy with festival-ready energy.
“We’ve been huge fans of Above & Beyond for years now and they’ve definitely had their influence on our sound as well. After hearing Malou’s vocals on Letting Go we were hooked straight away! The song has that big, euphoric, being-pulled-to-the-edge-of-your-seat feeling that we are always chasing in our original songs, so we were dying to get our hands on the song parts”, says the duo.
