Famed Broadway actress Audra McDonald stunned in Harbison Studio. The fashion house that was created by Charles Harbison created the brand in 2013. His work degree in architecture gives him a unique edge to the design world as his eye for texture and silhouette comes naturally. McDonald wore custom Harbison Studio Cirrus Gown and paired the look with a custom Harbison Studio Paix Opera Capecoat. The look was a beautiful vision of texture as the detailing of both the gown and the cape created an incredible homage to vintage fashion.

Thebe Magugu Debut
Up and coming prolific designer Thebe Magugu made his Met Gala debut at this year’s festivties and definitely made a fabulous first impression
. Dressing Ivy Getty, Magugu debuted the Wheat Pleated High Neck Gown. The look was a beautiful homage to Central and West African photographers of the 50’s and 60’s. With incredible cohesiveness, innate details and a total of 120 hours of work to create the look, Thebe Magugu’s Met Gala debut was definitely one to remember.

Maison Spoiled Jewels
In looking at the fabulous accessories of the Met Gala 2025, one must mention the work of Maison Spoiled. With a passion and devotion to the world of diamonds. Jasmine Tookes shone in these diamonds at the Met as she wore both the Emerald Cut Studs and the Pave Solitaire Ring to help give her look an extra bit of sparkle. The jewels are the very definition of innovation in diamond design as the cuts were a beautiful addition to Tookes Met Gala look. The brand also accessorized Ivy Getty, who was previously mentioned as she was dressed in Thebe Magugu. Getty wore Maison Spoiled diamond earrings with her look.
Overall, it’s clear that the Met Gala 2025 was all about the details.
