HBO Max is becoming a streaming service front runner with its creation of hit series such as Euphoria, Lovecraft Country, and Big Little Lies, just to name a few. In today’s media climate, where anything nostalgic will capture the attention of the masses, HBO Max is capitalizing on the opportunity to give the people what they want. The service has just released a trailer in order to announce that new episodes of Sex and the City will soon be returning to our screens.

The 40-second teaser showed various clips of New York City life spliced in between typing of “And just like that…The story continues…” on a computer screen, which was read aloud by Carrie Bradshaw, who is played by Sarah Jessica Parker.

HBO Max gave this alert on their various social media accounts and even created a new account dedicated to the revival. The show will be a continuation of the series with a slightly different title called And Just Like That.

Each of the original leading ladies, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis, have returned to reprise their original roles in the franchise and have advertised the show on their social media accounts. However, Kim Cattrall, whose character was Samantha Jones, will not be returning with the cast.

In response to the news, one person left a comment on Parker’s Instagram account saying, “Happy to see you back but will miss Kim/Samantha,” and Parker replied, “We will too. We loved her so. X.” It is unknown whether or not a replacement for Cattrall’s character will be added to the main cast.

Currently, there is not an official release date set for the series. In order to catch up before its premiere date, all six seasons of Sex and the City can be watched on the HBO Max app.
