San Diego, America’s Finest City

If you’re looking to travel somewhere with the best weather in the country, beautiful beachfront, exciting attractions, and the country’s most popular zoo, then I have the place for you. San Diego, LA’s little brother at the very bottom of California, is just waiting for you to experience it. Here are just a few of the reasons why you should consider it while planning your next trip.

San Diego

The Lily Pond in Balboa Park

If you’ve never been to San Diego before, then I highly recommend checking out Balboa Park once you’re there. This 1,200-acre green space contains plenty of spots to enjoy some nature, as well as several of the city’s museums. It is also home to the San Diego Zoo, which is consistently ranked as one of the best in the world. There really is a lot to explore here, so you should plan a whole day to enjoy the sights and choose which museums you want to check out the most.

San Diego

The Pacific coast from La Jolla

Another must-see location while you’re in San Diego is Coronado island just across the San Diego bay. A short trip over the bridge and you will find yourself in paradise, with shops, restaurants, parks, and of course beautiful beaches. This is really just a great place to spend an afternoon or evening, especially if you want some relaxation on your trip. If you have the time, I would also definitely recommend taking a day trip up to La Jolla, a small town just north of the city. Here you can find some quaint restaurants, beautiful views, and often some sunbathing sea lions. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore some more of California’s incredible environment, Torrey Pines State Reserve is just a short drive further up the coast, and offers some gorgeous views and trails along the water. Whatever you choose to do on your trip, you are sure to have a blast and come back with some great memories!
