RIMOWA and Adidas have unveiled a new collaborative partnership for the first time. These two iconic German brands celebrate the spirit of mobility with an inaugural capsule collection – RIMOWA X ADIDAS.
The collection consists of two contemporary pieces: RIMOWA’s first-aluminum backpack alongside Adidas NMD S1 sneaker. Exclusively made in Germany, the items are designed as perfect tools for urban explorers to navigate and escape the cities of today.
RIMOWA x ADIDAS NMD BACKPACK
For the backpack, RIMOWA’s signature grooved aluminum stands out at first glance. The sturdy design exudes an atmosphere of refinement as well.
Meanwhile, the item underlines multiple functionalities. Firstly, the utility shoulder straps enhance ultimate comfort with a carabin and handy thumb loops. Also, both rope weight-bearing straps and a grab handle are crafted for ease of use. Additionally, the item features foam ridges inspired by ADIDAS Boost foam overlaying the surface.
Besides, it also includes an elasticated webbing running through its middle. It is not only classy but also functional to secure the backpack onto the suitcase’s telescopic tubes. Meanwhile, A detachable gusset allows a flat packing with two deep zipped pockets. For a delicate design, moreover, both brands’ logos appear on a 16-inch laptop pocket.
ADIDAS NMD S1
Alongside the backpack, the brands showcased the Adidas NMND S1 specially crafted for urban explorers. Its color identically reflects a titanium-inspired colorway of the backpack. Overall, the shoe’s midsole has a translucent base color, while the lace in Orange creates modern contrasts. Altogether, the minimal design and cool colorways give a futuristic chic style to the sneakers. To mark the momentous partnership, the shoes feature a ‘Made in Germany’ imprint that signifies the limited edition.
