Who Will be Showcased at New York Fashion Week?
New York Fashion Week 2021
2021 New York Fashion week begins on Sunday the 14th. This will be the second year where NYFW is virtual instead of in person. Collections will be shown online via livestreams or recorded videos. They can be viewed at NYFW.com or Runaway360. As usual, photos of the collection can be found online also. New York Fashion Week will be a month long event.
Similarly to in person shows, to view virtual shows, you have to be invited. Runway livestreams are not open to the public. Spring Studios is the venue for NYFW but designers can shoot their collections anywhere.
Jason Wu will begin NYFW with a livestream of his collection. The designer who created Jill Biden’s inauguration outfit, Markarian, will be next on that same day. The designer who did Michelle Obama’s outfit will do an interview with journalist Tamron Hall.
The last show will be Jonathan Cohen on April 15, over a month after the show before it (LaQuan Smith on March 9).
This will be the first NYFW for nine brands. Those brands are:
Epimonia
Blumera
Studio Amelia
Chaance
Pizza Slime
Colin Locascio
Keiser Clark
Sincerly Ria
