Lakme is the leading beauty and cosmetics company in India. In 1999 they came together with IMG Reliance (leader in sports, entertainment, and marketing) to form an outlet for expressing the beauty of everyday fashion. The shows usually happen the first week of August. This year is the first year that plus-sized models are making their mark on the runway. LFW is sure to finally make a solid name for itself. We’ll see what’s to come in the coming season’s.
