Fashion Celebrates the Rabbit Year
It is not too much to say that the fashion world is in the middle of the festival of rabbits. Majorities of fashion brands seem to celebrate the Lunar New Year recognized as the Year of the Rabbit. Loewe reinvents Bunny Bag for the Year of the Rabbit, while Gucci created the Chinese New Year Collection entirely dedicated to the rabbits. Moreover, Burberry presented Thomas Burberry’s “TB” monogram honoring the Chinese New Year.
ACNE STUDIOS X Apollinaria Broche
Along with them, Acne Studios also presented the new year collection with ceramic artist Apollinaria Broche to mark the Year of the Rabbit. Its delightful collection offers a wearable and fashionable wardrobe and accessories.
Apollinaria Broche is a French-Russian artist. Following Women’s FW21, Brioche worked again with the brand to create a rabbit-themed campaign in 2023. Notably, the collection revolved around a rabbit named Bun Bun. It’s a light pink sculpture with big eyes that the artist created. The rabbit symbolizes luck in the Chinese zodiac. The collection, therefore, is infused with a bit of luck for the wearers.
Meanwhile, the campaign depicted a joyful day out in Beijing with the rabbit and actor Vicky Chen. Their adventure in the city created an oriental, festive mood while the Musubi Bag featured in places.
Additionally, the collection includes accessories featuring the rabbit, Bun Bun. The featured item ranges from necklaces with rabbit pendants to hoop earrings. Also, a soft pink blanket featured an illustration of the rabbit as it completely represents the theme of the collection.
