Coffee does more than provide a great, energized start to your morning. Using coffee on your skin can reduce cellulite, reduce inflammation and even wind you down. Using a coffee scrub is a quick and beneficial way to incorporate all the goodness of coffee into your hygiene routine. Glam Body is a black-owned business aimed at fighting eczema and giving you glowing, plump skin through coffee scrubs.

Featured in ELLE, Forbes, OWN and more, Danika Berry, 45, is a girl boss that noticed something missing from her and her children’s lives. Previously, Berry was a well-known celebrity publicist but was seeking a refreshing business opportunity after going through a divorce. Berry’s children suffer from eczema, so she was searching for a product to help nourish their skin and to establish a self-care routine for herself. According to an interview with Black Enterprise, Berry’s stress with the recent divorce was causing extreme strain on her skin.

It was in 2017 when Glam Body was born.

Glam Body’s Mission

Along with providing nourished and refreshed skin for those with eczema (or anyone), Berry wanted to create skincare that was fun and unique. Their packaging is spring-like and the coffee scrub is the perfect way to scrub away stress and dead-skin.

Berry told medium.com, “Not only was Glam Body created to be my consumer’s new best friend, but it was also designed to bring the luxuries of the spa to the comfort of their own home. Especially women with busy lifestyles.”

The line features four scrubs: coconut coffee scrub for dry skin, mandarin scrub for cellulite, peppermint scrub for muscles, and pink grapefruit scrub for glow. Each scrub contains Arabic Coffee, which promotes circulation, reduces the appearance of cellulite, even skin tone, moisturizes and safely removes dead skin to reveal fresh, glowing skin. The scrubs do not contain microbeads, toxic chemicals or parabens, making them perfect for any person of any age.

How Do Glam Body’s Scrubs Relate to Empowering Women

Berry’s mission with Glam Body is to go beyond glowing skin. She experienced first-hand what it was like to go through a difficult time and have little motivation to keep a self-care routine. Through coffee scrubs, Berry hopes that women (or men) can incorporate coffee exfoliation into their everyday routine to keep a constant reminder that you are worth luxuries and self-care.

Strong, entrepreneurial women like Berry are tasked with balancing their children, their personal life, their self-care and their business. There is a large number of duties of working mothers and it often comes with a mountain of stress placed on women’s shoulders. Through a simple product like a coffee scrub, businesswomen like Berry are proving that working women can balance everything while still looking and feeling good too.

It might seem easy to skim over spa items like coffee scrubs, but with Glam Body, even the busiest woman can prioritize herself. With sleek packaging and an affordable cost, any woman can bring the spa home with Glam Body’s natural coffee scrubs.

Glam Body’s Four Delicious Scrubs

Each product has a common goal of revealing luscious and smooth skin. However, you can customize your skincare goals with each of Glam Body’s four scrubs. All scrubs can be purchased through Glam Body’s website for $17.95 each.
