Singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers made her musical debut on comedy show Saturday Night Live. Alongside guest host Dan Levy, Bridgers was the featured musical guest for February 6th’s episode.  She performed “I Know The End” and “Kyoto” from her recent sophomore album “Punisher.” After the screaming fit at the end of “I Know The End”, Bridgers smashed her guitar on stage.

“I’ll find a new place to be from/A haunted house with a picket fence/To float around and ghost my friends/No I’m not afraid to disappear” sang Bridgers.

Bridgers performed “Kyoto” in her skeleton costume that has been a symbol of her “Punisher” album. Her band members donned the classic outfit as well. For “I Know The End” she wore a different imagination of the skeleton costume. A black dress with a pearl necklace shaped like a rib cage. The necklace is from Gucci.

In one of the promos for this episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’, cast member Aidy Bryant joked that she expected Bridgers’ songs to be hilarious. Bridgers responded,  “They’re not.”

For the promo she wore her signature color black, in the form of a Gucci lace collared dress. Bridgers consistently wears collared dresses and all black outfits. She paired it with a simple black face mask

Bridgers started performing on late night talk shows after the acclaim and popularity of “Punisher.” She performed “Savior Complex” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in December 2020. Bridgers was also featured on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Late Night with Seth Meyers.

2020 was an eventful year for Bridgers because she was nominated for 4 Grammys. She was nominated for Best New Artist, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, and Best Alternative Music Album. This is her first year being nominated.
