The iconic Brooklyn rapper Bobby Shmurda releases his first project since being freed from jail back in February of 2021. He’s released singles before “Bodboy” but it seemed like an album wasn’t coming right after getting out of jail. His last project came out 8 years ago, titled “Shmurda She Wrote”. Many of his fans have been waiting to see what he would do upon his release.

It looked as though Bobby just wanted to enjoy life since being locked up for 7 years, missing out on a lot of things that happened. He’s been seen with a bunch of different types of celebrities. He’s appeared with YouTuber Kai Cenat and popped out at multiple radio shows like Hot 97 with Funk Flex and Power 106 LA.

“Bodboy” is a 9-track long EP with 2 features on it, Fat Tony and Rowdy Rebel. The latter has appeared with Bobby on multiple occasions. Fat Tony appears on the track titled “Glock Inside” and Rowdy Rebel appears on “On God”. Bobby Shmurda released a track that appears on this EP a month ago. His song “Hoochie Daddy” released on July 15th and would get a music video a week later. The chorus of “Hoochie Daddy” appears to take inspiration from the 1995 track “Hoochie Mama” by Get Live Crew.

It looks as though Bobby won’t stop with “Bodmon”. HotNewHipHop interviewed Shmurda, with the publication saying that an album is to follow 60 days after “Bodmon”. Titled “Ready to Live”, it’s reported that high-profile artists like Meek Mill, DaBaby, Fivio Foreign and more will feature on the project. It’s been a bit more than a year since his release but it looks like the Brooklyn rapper is finally ready to give his fans the music they’ve been waiting for.
