NYFW: Gemy Maalouf autumn/winter 2017

Gemy’s new collection was fit with cocktail dresses and ball gowns for any special occasion where women wish to present themselves as classy, edgy, and full of surprises. As usual, she had gowns with specific detail, lengths, and colors, to be set apart from last season’s designs.

The gold trimmings and shapes appeared on the train of her gowns, in the décolleté area, and around the waist. One design in particular was a three tier dress with a transparent, sleeveless top that sparkled when the model moved through space.

Some styles were on the casual side, and gave a Sunday brunch impression: a deep V-neck down to the belly button, with black lines, shapes, and florets flooding the champagne colored peplum top, leading into a pencil skirt with a high split.

Maalouf still kept it classy though, especially in the champagne colored dresses to follow, including one lined in pearls, another in gold zebra stripes, and one with broad, sheer sleeves.

A set of high waist bell bottom pants appeared, even, along with a sexy bustier and dresses with a transparent train. Maalouf really played with the splits to add more friskiness to the collection as some were as high as the thigh with ruffles, polka dots, and an entire front region revealed.
