Off-White “Track and Field” Collection

Virgil Abloh keeps on creating and we keep on appreciating his talent. Abloh designed a collection for Serena Williams earlier in the year and now he’s taking that sporty look to the Off-White Spring 2019 Runway with Off-White “Track and Field” collection. Abloh’s fashion show debuted in Paris Fashion Week.

Abloh features real athletes, Dina Asher Smith, Vashti Cunningham, Cecilia Yeung, English Gardner, Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Nafi Thaim, Caterine Ibarguen, and Renelle Lamote. Alongside with models, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

“Sport, like fashion, shares a common language that seeks to unite cultures, break down barriers and celebrate the power of the human spirit,” says Abloh. “This season, I was inspired by the voice of the athlete and the power of sport to impact positive and transformative change globally.”

The models and athletes adorned Abloh’s soon to be released Nike sneakers. The sneakers look futuristic with the vivid colors of baby blue, neon green laces, and a hot pink swoosh.

The best part of the show is that it highlighted women in sports, the clothes cloaked them in a flattering way complimenting their muscles and femininity. This show highlighted women and their strengths while showing that women play more roles than just wife and mother. Off-White is winning the game.
