Romance is in the Air at Chanel Paris Fashion Week Show

A timeless romance is captured in the Chanel Paris Fashion Show. The models strutted with floral headpieces and tulle veils against a trellis tunnel surrounding the audience. Soft pastels, silk tulle, and sequins paints the picture of the elegant lady in love.

Karl Lagerfeld presented the Chanel Spring-Summer 2018 Haute Couture Collection on Tuesday, January 23. The collection kept up with Chanel brand of classic femininity. Elegant necklines with floral embroidery reminiscent of a vintage love affair.

Feathers kiss the shoulders of the models in some of the designs while tweed remains fluidly across many different ensembles.

The colors of the show a soft pink, pale blues and greens, mixing with bold colors such as fuchsia, electric blue, and hunter green.

On a few of the tweed suits, rounded elegant buttons stood out creating a powerful statement on the piece.

The silhouettes were strong and enchanting with tulle dresses flowing and kimono sleeves.

The chiffon dresses that caressed behind the legs of the models were simply stunning. The way the neck lines drew the bone structure of the models was mesmerizing. There was something soft and glamorous in the way the dresses carried in the wind.

The shoes were boots either mid-calf, or ankle with transparent heels. I foresee the transparent heel to be big this spring along with soft pastels and sheer flowing skirts. Between sequins, and embroidery nothing is dull for Spring 2018.
