Tosia is a NYC-based upcoming contemporary brand founded by Sara Hankin. The brand launched 2014, provides effortless, modern styles with innovative details on clean, structured silhouettes. Named after her grandmother, Hankin’s vision was to create a brand of high-quality wardrobe staples that could “stand the test of time” in an era where fast-fashion dominates. Her design background stems from her past experience working with designers like Ralph Lauren and J.Crew. Tosia’s Spring 2017 collection draws its inspiration from choreographer, Pina Bausch, whose performances are known to be clean and fluid. And modern-architect, Luis Barragán, who contrasts with vivid colors and clean structures. The collection features raw denim with unfinished edges, asymmetrical off-the-shoulder tops, playful pleats, and shoulder slits. The lookbook is viewable here.
